Mother Brown's Cottage (sleeps 4) The original castle lodge is a very pretty cottage set just half a mile from the castle itself . Perfect for those who want share this magical place but retain a little privacy. Its windows were originally placed to spot approaching carriages coming up the castle drive, but today they serve to view the sun and wildlife of Loch Crinan from dawn until dusk. There are two lovely garden areas within which guests can enjoy the peaceful environment and spectacular views. Just in front of the cottage is a gate providing access to the shoreline. Mother Brown's is the perfect holiday home for a beach or countryside break or a comfortable base for those who simply want to relax and enjoy this idilic location. |

Lobby There are two entrances to the cottage, the front door which open onto coastal views and the back door which opens from a small courtyard area into a lobby with sink & washing machine. A spacious outdoor storage annexe contains a tumble drier and space for bicycles. |

Sitting Room On the ground floor there is a beautiful sitting-room with wood burner, a light room with three windows allowing superb views over the garden, Loch Crinan and Duntrune Castle. There are books, a writing desk & TV. The sitting room open into the kitchen |

First floor bedroom From the lobby, via a handsome spiral staircase, there is a huge combed L-shaped first floor room with Velux sky-lights offering elevated views. Twin beds are situated to the left of the room. |

First floor snug area In the opposite side of the first floor 'L' shaped room, you will find a splendid 'snug' area with two easy chairs, lots of books and a picture window looking out on Loch Crinan. A wonderful place to curl up with a book or binoculars, drawing materials. |

There is a washing machine & dryer located in the property. Wood burner in the living room. Terms Lets are normally from Saturday 4pm to 10am on the following Saturday. Half rent due as confirmation of booking - balance four weeks prior to arrival.
